Happy Halloween! (UPDATED)

Max pics will be up later; for now, you'll have to settle for me.

I'm kinda disappointed. I thought it was so obvious who I am today, but everyone at work has had a hard time figuring it out.

I left work early to attend Max's Halloween party at his Mimi's house. I was the only parent dressed up (and I figured I would be), but you can't imagine how it felt to be around a bunch of Cuban abuelas and the other kids' parents dressed like the above photo.

So, what was Max this year?

A bat!

We didn't do anything after his daycare party. Between the crappy weather and being alone and his being 2 and clueless about the whole thing, it just wasn't worth it. He did wear his costume without any fuss, though, and had a blast flapping around and acting batty!

I was just confessing to Julie the other day that I don't have a blasted clue who Amy Winehouse is. Damn this being old and unhip. What I do know is that you're a hottie as Amy whatever her name is and Max is an adorable bat. Positively hugable.

Funny thing is, I'm not even a fan!

This was the result of my asking myself: "What do I have at home that I can use, and buy maybe just a wig or prop, that is creative?" It was the best I could come up with this year...

Dude, the pic had only loaded 1/2-way and I was like "um, Amy Winehouse?" Duh!

So funny true story - my friend asked me the other day what I was going to dress up as (I was supposed to go to a party last Saturday but didn't because I was sick). I told her I hadn't thought of anything yet so she said "Oh! How about that "Rehab" chick?" and I said "Lindsay Lohan?" ;) So had I gone to the party we may have ended up with the same costume this year. Creepy or funny? You decided!

Max is so flippin' cute! The most snuggable bat ever!

As the days pass, I am more and more mortified that I went dressed like that to Max's daycare Halloween party. I could not think to bring a change of clothes? Course not!

Cute halloween costumes, your son looks so cute in his bat costume. My son wore elephant lol. I love looking at those kids when they wear halloween costumes.
